HOPEDALE — Select Board votes to place water-sewer petition and noise bylaw on town meeting warrant. Chair Scott Savage opposed, fearing the water-sewer petition jumped ahead of an ongoing efficiency study, but members Bernard Stock and Glenda Hazard voted to include both items in a 2-1 decision. Assistant Town Administrator Grant clarified that the petition would grant the Water and Sewer Commission authority to hire, fire, and enter into contracts with potential financial impacts.

In related business, the board unanimously voted to engage the Parsons Group to market a Route 16 parcel, with proposals expected within three to four months.
