Hopedale Select Board backed a plan to fund Draper Field renovations using surplus funds from the completed Town Park project. Town Administrator Mitchell Ruscitti reported meeting stakeholders to confirm the proposed Draper Field work falls within the scope of the original Town Meeting article authorizing the park project. The Town Park came in $400,000 under budget, and those funds will be redirected to Draper Fields.

Engineering firm Tighe and Bond and contractor Mountain View are ready to begin work in July. The Parks Commission will vote at its next meeting on establishing an Ad Hoc committee to oversee the project, and local businesses have offered donations.
