Hopedale Select Board approves Police Chief R. Lima contract after executive session. Chair Scott Savage, Ms.
Glenda Hazard, and Mr. Bernard Stock voted 3-0 to approve the contract following a closed meeting to discuss negotiation strategy. The board also unanimously accepted a $106,811.20 donation to the Legal Donation Fund and approved part-time Police Dispatcher Todd Garrison.
Town Clerk Lisa Pedroli presented options for electronic voting devices at Town Meeting, with purchase costs of $22,000 initially and $10,000 to $15,000 annually, or a $9,995-per-meeting rental that includes trained staff; Mr. Stock requested additional alternatives before the board moves the bylaw amendment to the warrant.
