HOPEDALE — Park Commission hires two summer employees and approves pond management plan. The Hopedale board unanimously hired Matt Stone and Adin Iadarola to assist the Highway Department for eight weeks, with work to begin immediately. Chair Michael Costanza reported the Park Commission entered an agreement with Water and Wetland on May 8 to assess and treat the pond annually in coordination with the Conservation Committee, responding to public concern raised by resident Carroll Mullen about long-term pond stewardship.
The commission also received a status update on the Draper Field and Lot A renovation project, with the ad hoc committee proposing a multipurpose field at Draper Field and baseball relocation to Phillips Field.
