HOPEDALE — Park Commission unanimously backs expanded Town Park project using $400,000 budget surplus. Chair Michael Costanza, along with Members Jason MacDonald and Mark Wyspianski, approved scope amendments to add a baseball field and varsity field hockey field at Draper Field after engineers and Mountain View Sports confirmed site conditions were better than feared and substantial completion costs are locked. Costanza prioritized restoring two little league fields displaced during renovations, with completion targeted for spring 2027.

The board also unanimously appointed a five-member Citizens Advisory Committee — Mike Bresciani, Gordon Lewis, Brandt Wajda, Brett Bouvier, and Ellen Murphy — to guide the design and installation process.
