HOPEDALE — The Hopedale Council on Aging Board discussed payment-processing delays affecting instructors and decided to send a letter to the Select Board. Director Claire Hill reported the department ran about $5,000 under budget for FY26 but flagged concerns about unpaid invoices delaying instructor compensation for three-plus weeks and lack of transparency in town payment processes. Board member Julia Manning composed a draft letter; the board agreed to send it but deferred a formal vote.
The board also addressed Outreach Worker Nancy Mosher's planned retirement at year's end, with Vice Chair Bob Casali recommending that he, Hill, and Chair Cheryl Moreci prepare questions for Interim Town Administrator Gene Phillips about hiring and benefits logistics for a replacement position.
