HOPEDALE — Council on Aging approves new Senior Center hours and additional employee compensation. The board voted unanimously June 4 to shift the center's schedule to Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Friday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., effective July 1. Director Claire Hill also received unanimous approval to use approximately 5,000 dollars from fiscal year 2026 part-time salary savings to pay Staff Assistant Jennifer Bethel and Outreach Worker Nancy Mosher for additional hours, keeping both workers classified as part-time and ineligible for benefits.
The move follows an early meeting called by Director Hill to address end-of-fiscal-year matters before July 1.
