Council on Aging approves March minutes, welcomes new director.

Council on Aging Board · Meeting of April 23, 2026

HOPEDALE — Council on Aging approves March minutes and hears transition report from retired director. Carole Mullen, working hourly to orient new department director Claire Hill, reported that Hill has mastered daily operations including payroll, bill paying, and budget management and has completed the next newsletter. The board noted that outreach services have dropped sharply since coordinator Nancy's hours fell to 15 per week.

Director Hill proposed hiring a second outreach worker at 15 hours and is preparing updates to the town website after attending platform training. The department lacks a dedicated procurement card and awaits access to the town website system.
