Conservation Commission adopts consultant-fee regulation under state law.

HOPEDALE — The Hopedale Conservation Commission unanimously adopted a regulation permitting the hiring of outside consultants and peer reviewers for wetlands applications under Massachusetts General Law Chapter 44, Section 53G. Chair Michele LaReau-Alves led the meeting, with members David Guglielmi, Morris Kromah, and Bernard Stock present; Scott Ellis was absent. The regulation was drafted with guidance from Town Counsel KP Law and follows practices in other municipalities.

The commission also unanimously approved Hancock Associates to conduct a peer review for an ANRAD application at 300 South Main Street and continued a Notice of Intent hearing for 4 Overdale Parkway Lot Two to March 17, 2026, pending a site visit.
