Bancroft Library trustees approve policies, WhaZoodles purchase

Hopedale Library trustees unanimously approve five policies and WhaZoodles purchase. Chair Christine Seaver, Secretary Marie Riddell, and trustee Frederick Oldfield III voted to update Social Media, Historic Gifts and Deed of Gifts, Check Policy, Monetary and Gift Donations, and Solicitation and Sales Policy. The board also approved spending from the Library Donation Account to purchase eight WhaZoodles for youth programming.
March circulation rose 10 percent year-over-year, with Overdrive electronic checkouts up 32 percent; a newly reupholstered couch cost $1,165.35 and the library installed a water cooler at twelve dollars monthly. All Hopedale kindergarten classes will visit in late April to receive first library cards.
