Bancroft Library approves policies and budget tracking remains on course

HOPEDALE — Bancroft Memorial Library trustees approve six policy updates. Chair Christine Seaver, Secretary Marie Riddell, Trustee Frederick Oldfield III, and Library Director Keely Bethel-Penny voted unanimously to adopt revisions to Laptop Usage, Internet Guidelines, Interlibrary Loan, Library Card, Bulletin Board, and Storm Policy and Early Closing policies. February circulation showed adult books down 5 percent but audio books and children's e-books up, with Overdrive digital lending up 24 percent.

The board approved the Annual Town Report due April 1 and advanced discussion of an approximately $2,300 automated external defibrillator after Fire Department recommendation.
